Dr. Keith received her doctorate in Psychology from the University of Windsor in 1996. Following this, she served as a psychologist with the University of Manitoba’s Rural and Northern Program, providing a wide range of psychological services in Northern Manitoba.
In September 1999, Dr. Keith returned to Ontario and joined a clinic specializing in psychological assessment and treatment services for adults recovering from motor vehicle accident trauma. In April 2004 Dr. Keith opened her own practice in order to expand into other areas of mental health.
Dr. Keith is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the Hamilton Medical-Legal Society.
Dr. Keith’s research background has focused on cross-cultural and aboriginal aspects of mental health, sexuality and body image, and practice concerns in rural and northern Canada. Her clinical background includes psychological assessment and treatment of adults suffering from depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, terminal and chronic illness, domestic violence, intimate relationship conflicts, and psychosis. She has taught university and college courses in general psychology, abnormal and clinical psychology, the psychology of women, cross-cultural mental health, and stress management.
